Eleonora De Martin
- Editing Coordinator
Originally from Italy, Eleonora holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations & Organisations from Leiden University with a minor on Security, Safety and Justice from Delft University of Technology. Her previous research focused on gender security and peacebuilding. Her current areas of interest are European foreign and security policy, the impact of digitalization in the civil society and cybersecurity.
Leah donaldson

In 2022, Leah graduated from Dublin City University with a first-class honours in International Relations. During this time, Leah focused on regionalism, power politics and the rise of the BRIC nations. Through IMSISS, Leah aspires to continue this line of study, focusing on the relationship between International Political Economy (IPE), geopolitics and conflict resolution.
Valentina Ruaro

Originally from Italy, Valentina holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Diplomatic Affairs from the University of Bologna. She currently works as an author for the Italian APS Mondo Internazionale and publishes monthly articles on topics related to the role of International Organizations in maintaining peace and preserving security in the world, with a focus on the EU. Her current areas of interest are the Common Security and Defence Policy, the European External Action Service, geopolitics, and post-conflict operations. Her geographical areas of interest are the Balkans, with a focus on Serbia and Kosovo, and the MENA region, with a focus on Iran, Syria and Turkey.
Umaima zia

Umaima holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations with a major focus on the security-development nexus and aid relations between the United States and Pakistan. A theoretical foundation in intelligence, strategic studies, preventing and countering violent extremism, & security and development, coupled with skills such as regional language expertise, analytical report writing, research and analysis have culminated into roles of Research Assistant in think-tanks, Translator, and Editor at The Mosaic and The Security Distillery
Victoriano Vicente Botella Berenguer

From sunny Spain, Víctor holds a bachelor degree in International Studies and a minor degree in International Business from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid with a focus in international security, business and peacebuilding. Once in IMSISS, he is concentrating in courses related to the functioning of security cooperation within the European Union states and the security environment surrounding the Union.
Lara Segato

Lara holds a BA in International Relations and Diplomatic Affairs from the University of Bologna with a semester spent at its campus in Buenos Aires. Working for a year as a high school teacher has consolidated her love for teaching and her wish to work in academia. Her research interests lie in conflict mediation and peacebuilding, especially in the context of civil wars.
Elena Potitò

Elena holds a bachelor degree in Global Governance, with a major in Economics and Philosophy. Her main areas of interests are the European Union and Latine America. She is currently doing an internship at Hozint- Horizon Intelligence.
Allison Baddeley
- Member of the Editing Team
Allison holds a Double BA Honours in Anthropology and History from the University of Western Ontario, in Canada. Before IMSISS, Allison was involved in various research positions, such as the Undergraduate Research Internship program (USRI) of Canada where she conducted military research on Canadian soldiers from WWI and developed an independent project that is now being presented at the University of Western. Aside from military research, she has done anthropological research on the illegality and legality systems in African communities, and worked as a research student in a zooarchaeology lab. Her interests include criminal intelligence approaches to transnational organised crime and its relationship to terrorism.
Michele Curzi

Emma Sage

Emma has always worked in crisis response and planning. Before coming to IMSISS, she was an EMT and student in an emergency management masters programme. She has also worked for an international nonprofit specialising in international medical aid and emergency systems engineering. She focuses on border conflict, separatism, and violent extremism.
