The Security Distillery is inviting you to a hybrid panel discussion on Iran, the current revolution and the role the arts play in societal change in the region.
In collaboration with Professor of Security and Politics in the Middle East Pejman Abdolmohammadi from the University of Trento and two local artists, the Security Distillery is hosting a panel discussion on the feminist freedom movement in Iran.
We will look at the role of art and artists as activists and inspirers. We want to know under which conditions the people in Iran are currently creating art and how they are using methods to confront society and its urgent problems. The discussion should convey various aspects that we overlook or take for granted in everyday life and current news coverage.
