guus rotink

- Coordinator of the Podcast team

Guus holds a BA in International Relations and Organization from the University of Groningen and the Jagiellonian University as well as a BA in Philosophy from the University of Groningen. He currently pursues his Master degree on the Intelligence, Peace-building and Terrorism pathway of IMSISS. Originally from the Netherlands, he has a broad field of interest that revolves around the European Union, Russia and the former Soviet Union, geopolitics and war studies.

 

Megan zutt

Megan is from the Netherlands and is currently a student in the IMSISS Master in the ‘Causes of Conflict’ pathway. She holds a BSc in International Relations and Organisations from Leiden University and has previously done a research internship with the Red Cross and the Dutch Armed Forces. Her field of interest is conflict studies, focusing on the environment, human rights and multilateral diplomacy. 

Adam Teufel

- member of the podcast team & editing team

Adam, a German national but citizen of the world, is on the Intelligence, Peace-building, and Terrorism pathway. He studied political science and economics at Münster University, in the city of Westphalian peace. He focuses on EU issues, Sub-Saharan Africa and Geoeconomics. He has worked with foreign representations of different parts of the German government, as well as German Public Radio.

 

maya rioux

Maya studies on the Intelligence, Peace-building, and Terrorism pathway. Originally from the United States, Maya earned her bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. After living and working in Washington, DC, Maya pivoted back into academia through the IMSISS program, focusing her research on identity politics, counterterrorism, and geopolitical strategy.

Thomas mongardini

Thomas is from Italy and holds a BA in Global Governance from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. His research interests focus on threat intelligence analysis, counterterrorism in Europe, and security in East Asia with a special focus on China. Right now, to achieve future goals, he is striving to improve his knowledge of criminology, and open-source intelligence (osint).

 

eléonore d’argenlieu

After graduating with a Bachelor’s in International Relations and Organisations, Eléonore has started a Master’s in Security, Intelligence and Strategic Studies. From a French-Austrian background, she has always seen herself working on the international stage. Besides improving her computer literacy as website coordinator of the Security Distillery, she hopes to sharpen her interest in counterterrorism, cybersecurity and the MENA region.

 

Nynke De Jong

Nynke is from the Netherlands and holds a BSc in Security Studies from Leiden University. She now studies on the Causes of Conflict pathway of IMSISS and her research interests lie in conflict studies, with a specific focus on the effects of climate change on conflict.
