Melissa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, concentrating in Homeland Security and double minoring in International Security and Intelligence Analysis from George Mason University in Washington D.C.. After graduating, Melissa worked as a contractor for the U.S. government as a Medical Writer and Editor for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. While this job gave her valuable skills, Melissa's passion for international security led her to the IMSISS program where she will be pursuing a concentration in Strategic and War Studies. She is particularly interested in the Middle East and North Africa as well as Sub-Saharan Africa.
