Syuzanna Kirakosyan

- Social Media Coordinator

Syuzanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the American University of Armenia. Her dissertation focused on the social, legal, and cultural aspects of sexual violence and issues concerning women’s security. She worked as a communication specialist at the International Republican Institute, closely working with the Armenian government on several projects aiming to strengthen democracy. Aside from her academic interests, she also worked as a project manager for an educational organisation. Her current research interests include peace-building and intelligence.

 

Rae

- Website Manager

Rae holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology at the University of Leicester, with her dissertation focusing on the Intelligence Services in the UK, analysing the contributing factors that affect fear of terrorism. Eager to continue her education, Rae enrolled on the IMSISS degree programme at University of Glasgow, DCU and Charles University, Prague. Her particular interests focus on violent extremism, social media, terrorism and counter terrorism, serious and organised crime, cyber security and intelligence.

 

Laura Vendruscolo

- Graphic Designer

Originally from Brazil, Laura is an IMSISS student in the Intelligence, Peace-building and Terrorism pathway. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Catholic University of Brasilia, with her dissertation focusing on the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Brazil. Before coming to IMSISS, she interned in government affairs, dealing with internal politics and the party dynamics of the Brazilian Congress. She also co-founded and led the International Connections journal. Her academic interests revolve around the intersection of gender and conflict, peace studies, and radicalisation.

 
 
 

Arianna Galasso

- Marketing Strategist

Arianna is originally from Rome, Italy. She holds a BA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics at LUISS University, with a semester at Ramon Llull Blanquerna School of International Studies and Communication. Her final dissertation explored security in the US, through legal and sociological research on penal populism, security policing, elite claimsmaking and the social construction of the crime problem. She is particularly focused on the ethical and racial implications of key security approaches and the intersections between ethics, violence and security. In 2022, she was a trainee at the Radical Party Non-Violent Transnational Transparty, handling the public and external relations of the NGO, as well as organising events and informational campaigns, and analysing international relations and situations of violations of human rights.

 
 
 

Irene Rodriguez Fernandez

Irene, originally from Madrid, holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations.
