Trent Tetterton

- Coordinator of the Editing Team

From North Carolina in the United States, Trent currently studies at Dublin City University where he is completing the International Master in Security, Intelligence, and Strategic Studies. In May 2020, he graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace (Astronautical) Engineering and commissioned as a Submarine Officer in the United States Navy. He serves the Security Distillery as this year's Editing Coordinator.

 

Aditya Khurana

- Member of the Editing Team

Aditya is a masters student at IMSISS and has previously graduated in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He is interested in the convolution of technology and policy studies.

 

Ana Vega Torrelo

- Member of the Editing Team

Ana holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminology from the University of Seville. After her experience studying and researching in the USA, she decided to continue her academic career pursuing her masters in IMSISS. Her interests are research and prevention in areas such as transnational organized crime and terrorism.

Carolina Rosales Herrera

- Member of the Editing Team

Carolina is a student of the IMSISS EMJMD programme. She holds a BA in International Relations from the Monterrey Institute of Technology, through which she also made an exchange on the Government and International Affairs concentration at MGIMO. She did several internships, including working at the Mexican Embassy in the Russian Federation. She also has been awarded the Culture Award of the Youth Prize for her contribution to the photographic awareness campaign of migrants in Mexico. Her academic interests include international security diplomacy, conflict analysis, peacekeeping, forced migration, and refugee crises.

 
 
 

Emma Lisa Bicknese

- Member of the Editing Team

Emma is a first-year student of the IMSISS Programme. She received her B.A. from University College Maastricht, where she focused on International Peace and Conflict. After her bachelor programme, she interned at, amongst others, Eurojust and the Dutch Refugee Council in Breda. Her passions lie broadly with politics in the Middle East and North Africa, policing and society, and the role of religion in society.

 
 
 

Giulia Prior

Giulia is a first-year IMSISS student from Italy. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Comparative European and International Legal Studies from the University of Trento. Her main interests include human rights, cybersecurity, counter-terrorism, technologies employed in security and warfare and sustainable development.

Hadia Fiaz

- Member of the Editing Team

Hadia is a first-year student in the IMSISS programme, with an interest in political theory, border security and necropolitics. Hadia holds a B.A. in Political Science and Critical Security Studies from King's University College in London, Ontario. Hadia has worked both in academic and corporate environments conducting research in the areas of terrorism and radicalization, knowledge mobilization, the privatization of public spaces and economic development.

 
 
 

Hallie Shlifer

Hallie is a first-year IMSISS student with a focus on East Asian security issues and Gender and Security. She received her BA in Asian Studies and Political Science from Vassar College in New York, USA. Some of her academic interests include surveillance, the US-Japan security partnership, and literature.

 
 
 

Joshua Farrell-Molloy

Joshua first-year IMSISS student focusing on extremism and the Middle East. He previously served in the military and holds a BA in International Relations from Dublin City University.

 
 
 

Marco Farucci

- Member of the Editing Team

Marco has graduated from Leiden University in International Studies, focusing mainly on the MENA region. He has interned in DLR Project Management Agency working closely with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and in the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute. His current interests are Disinformation, Online Radicalisation and Far-Right Extremism.

 
 
 

Matthew Sutherland

Matt is a first-year IMSISS masters student with a focus on PMSCs and other private actors in security as well as an interest in big data and AI technology. He holds a B.A. Political Science from the University of Victoria in British Colombia, Canada.

Miguel Sainz de Vicuña Santamaría

Miguel is a 23-year-old Madrid-born Spanish postgraduate student. He is interested in issues related to Russia, China and Southeast Asia.

 
 
 

Clara Stejskalova

In 2019, Clara received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a minor in Behavioral Health Change Studies from the University of Vermont. Clara’s academic and professional background led her to pursue an International Masters in Security, Intelligence, and Strategic Studies (IMSISS). Her areas of interest include environmental protection, public affairs, and risk management.
